SAFE USE OF PORTABLE LADDERS: SAFETY ALERT 
Workcover NSW has issued an alert on safe use of portable ladders following two recent incidents where painters fell from ladders and suffered serious injuries, one being a fatality. Workcover reminds employers and those in control of the work site the use of ladders should only be considered if other safe alternatives, such as scaffolding or elevating work platforms are not reasonably practicable. If using a ladder "three points of contact are required on a ladder at all times"
